OREANDA-NEWS. July 20, 2011. IBA completed a project on the development and implementation of the automated management system “Contract and Commercial Operations” (CCO) for JSC National Company ‘Kazakhstan Temir Zholy’ (Kazakh Railway), reported the press-centre of IBA.

The newly developed system is designed to:

Raise the efficiency of the rolling stock

Increase the transparency of transportation processes

Improve the efficiency and validity of management decisions.

Based on advanced technologies, CCO uses IBM WebSphere products, including Application Server, Message Broker, MQ, Portal, and Process Server.

The system covers the entire lifecycle of client’s interaction with Kazakh Railway, from e-contract conclusion to consignee’s notification of the cargo arrival to the destination.

CCO provides the following features:

Company-wide normative and reference information system

Flexible transformation of business processes to align them with changes at Kazakh Railway

Interaction with external information systems, including those developed simultaneously with CCO.

It is planned that the system’s functionality be expanded and a number of obsolete systems and workstations replaced. In the future, CCO will serve as a core system to manage all cargo transportation at Kazakh Railway. CCO provides a foundation for the company’s transition to 24X7 paperless servicing of cargo transportation customers.
