OREANDA-NEWS. July 19, 2011. The multipurpose container ship Rossita built in Italy and intended for shipments of spent nuclear fuel and materials of dismantled nuclear submarines from former Russian Navy bases in North-West Russia was handed over to Atomflot for operations.

Atomflot July 15 said the ship acceptance documents had been signed in La Spezia, Italy. The same day, the flag of the Russian Federation was hoisted on the ship. This date is considered the official birthday of the ship.
