OREANDA-NEWS. July 19, 2011. On July 17th Moscow City Racing show was held for the forth time in Moscow under auspices of Ingosstrakh Insurance Company.

This year pilots of three Formula 1 teams showed their skills: Vodafone McLaren Mercedes, Scuderia Ferrari and Team Lotus, as well as "KAMAZ-Master", Citroen Total World Rally Team, Meritus GP, FORSPEED Honda and RWT-motorsport. The race was participated by such stars as Jenson Button, Sebastian Ozhie and Giancarlo Fisichella. French company Formulec for the first timer ever presented its electric racecar FormulecEF01 with open wheels in Russia and other electric sport cars.

The speedway profile was modified as compared to the previous years of the show. If earlier the bolides actually cruised around the Kremlin and then entered Kremlin embankment from the Great Moscow River bridge. Thus the number of sections closed for public transport and automobiles was reduced, yet the spectators were provided with more free access areas to watch the race. Regardless of the torrential rain, hundreds of Moscovites gathered at Vasylyevsky Slope, Borovitsjaya Square, Small Moscow River Bridge and adjacent streets to enjoy this unparalleled spectacle.

Let us remind that Ingosstrakh hasn’t only sponsored the event but also insured the racemaster against any damage to health, life and property of third parties (visitors, spectators, guests) for a total amount of EUR15 mln. Possible cancellation losses of the racemaster were insured for EUR2 mln.
