OREANDA-NEWS. July 19, 2011. UNISTREAM international money transfer system performed as the general sponsor of conference Money Transfers Moscow-2011, which took place in Moscow. The conference was organized by International Association Money Transfer System (IAMTN), was held on the regular basis and was an important event for operators and companies, whose activities are more or less connected with the business of remittances. Moscow forum brought together, in this time, representatives from more than 40 financial institutions, governmental and other organizations, reported the press-centre of Unibank.

The turnover of Unistream international money transfer system in Armenia in January-June 2011 exceeded 277, 4 mln USD having surpassed the index of the preceding year by 28,7%. The number of transfers increased by 12,6% for the accounting period, exceeding 361,6 thousand.  The popularity of Unistream system is conditioned by the line of factors, including optimal tariffs (from 0,35%),  the function of remittances without address, when the client can get money in any branch of Unibank,  and with the wide geography–about 100 countries, 200 thousand service points. The key project for 2011 for Unistream system is promotion of client’s universal card. The availability of such card enhances transfer procedure thus minimizing the service time. The card eliminates the necessity of the teller to re-enter the necessary information for sending a remittance.

Top management of UNISTREAM made a decision to issue card and give recipients the remittances by creating maximum comfortable conditions for clients.  “Universal card brings the remittances transfer process to the absolutely minimum. At the same time we want to make the process maximum comfortably not only for those who send the fund, bit also for those who get the remittance. Presently the recipient can present the card and take the sum  intended for this remittance without any bureaucratic procedure, by not losing the time”, explained the introduction of innovation the president of UNISTREAM Souren Hayriyan. He noted the success, which occupies the Universal card, reaching extraordinary popularity among clients and informed that  700 thousand people are the holders of Unistream card. The share of Universal card-remittances in the whole system reaches 65 percent. Particularly, 83% of remittances is realized with the application of these cards. In Armenia the cards were issued freely.
