To repair the power grid equipment, “Karelenergo" plans to invest 177.8 million rubles next year.

This is a 12 percent more than plan 2011.

So, next year it is planned to repair 300.7 km of transmission lines of different voltage class, and more attention will be paid to distribution networks - the lines of 6-10 kV.
Also will be continued replacement of  cables

Also, to reduce the likelihood of the threat of falling trees, "Karelenergo" conducted operations  to clear firebreaks near  power lines - next year will be cleared 1344.7 hectares. Under the plan of the repair program, to replace wooden poles will need 1941 cubic meter of wood. In addition, the facility will be replaced 2672 isolators.

In 2012 it is  planned to install 58 vacuum circuit breakers intended for switching (on-off operations) of current in electrical facilities. To purchase them will be allocated 21.2 million rubles. This expensive equipment is characterized not only greater reliability, fire and explosion safety, but is simple to design, ease of use, lack of pollution and minimal maintenance.
