OREANDA-NEWS. July 15, 2011. Pulkovo Airport handled 1,042,321 passengers in June 2011, which means an increase by 10.0% against the same period in 2010. In particular, international passenger traffic to and from non-CIS countries during the period constituted 506,508 passengers having surpassed the last year performance by 9.6%.

Number of domestic passengers increased to 435,550, which is 5.3% more than in June 2010. Amount of passengers traveling to and from CIS countries increased by 40.5% (100,263 passengers).

In the first half of 2011, passenger traffic in Pulkovo Airport made 4,134,061 passengers having increased by 13.7% against the same period in 2010. The number of international passengers (non-CIS countries) grew to 1,684,779, having thus increased by 8.4% against the same period in 2010. Domestic passenger traffic constituted 2,020,760 passengers, which is 12.4% more than in January – June 2010.

The number of passengers traveling to and from CIS countries grew by 49.7% (428,522 passengers). The number of aircraft movements during the first six months of 2011 has increased by 16.5% and made up 52,963 landings and take-offs. Accumulated maximum takeoff weights (MTOWs) in Pulkovo constituted 1,714,944 having thus grown by 13.1% against the same period in 2010.
