OREANDA-NEWS. July 14, 2011. The Concentration Plant for Sijiaying 2nd Phase Iron Mine, China’s largest one with an annual processing capacity of 15 million tons, was put into commissioning on July 1, 2011. This works is designed by MCC Northern Engineering & Technology Corporation (NETC), and the jobsite is located in Luanxian Country of Hebei Province, reported the press-centre of MCC.

Since the facilities under this project were put into trial run on March 31, 2011, all the workshop equipment has been proved to be well functional, and the various indicators are rated up to the design as well as the advanced level both at home and abroad. The successful completion of this project symbolizes the outstanding strength of NETC in terms of the design expertise for concentrating works.

As one of the largest concentrating mills of China, this project is designed with an annual processing capacity of 15 million tons, including 6 million tons (two series) of early oxide minerals. The ore under this project is featured by pretty complicated nature, and high-level difficulty for design. After quite a few times on-site investigation and detailed discussion, NETC adopted an advanced technical process (stage grinding, coarse/fine classification, gravity separation magnetic separation reverse anionic flotation) and thus laid a consolidated foundation for the smooth commissioning of the project in the future.

With regard to both the technical processes and the equipment, this works hit a new record of advancement in China. The high-pressure roll crusher, for instance, was utilized as the crushing device, which has not only reduced the energy consumption but also increased the grinding efficiency.

The employer places a high premium on NETC’s expertise in the engineering design, and expects NETC to make determined and persistent efforts, with a target to continue to build the follow-up three projects into quality demonstrative works, namely the concentrating mills (15 million tons per annum) of the 3rd Sijiaying Iron Ore Project, the concentrating mills (5 million tons per annum) of the 4th Sijiaying Iron Ore Project, and the concentrating mills (20 million tons per annum) of the 5th Dajiazhong Iron Ore Project.
