OREANDA-NEWS. July 13, 2011. President Dmitry Medvedev signed into law the bill “On the Radioactive Waste Management”, the presidential administration has said on July 13.

The draft law was adopted by the State Duma on June 29 and passed the Council of Federation on July 6.

The draft law produced by Rosatom has been in process for nearly a year and half. It was introduced to the State Duma for review in December 2009. Over the period, more than 380 amendments were considered by the lower house of the parliament.
