Gazprom and KhMAO Discussed Implementation of Agreement
OREANDA-NEWS. July 13, 2011. The Gazprom headquarters hosted today a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Company's Management Committee and Natalia Komarova, Governor of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug (KhMAO) – Yugra.
The parties discussed the implementation of the Agreement of Cooperation placing an emphasis on construction and reconstruction of gas supply and gasification facilities in the region.
It was highlighted that Gazprom was constructing three inter-settlement gas pipelines connecting an automated gas distribution station located near the Peregrebnenskaya compressor station with the Chemashi village, the Lugovskoy settlement with the Troitsa settlement and the gas distribution point in the Belogorye settlement with the Kirpichny settlement. It is projected to commission the said gas pipelines in 2012.
The Company is looking at the possibility to launch reconstruction of a gas distribution station in the Berezovo settlement.
Background
Gazprom and the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Yugra Government signed the Agreement of Cooperation and the Accord on Gasification in February 2011 and in December 2007 accordingly.
Natural gas penetration in the KhMAO accounts for 39 per cent including 39.2 per cent in cities and towns and 40.6 per cent in the rural area. The identical figures throughout Russia make up 63.1, 69.8 and 46.7 per cent respectively.
Between 2008 and 2010 Gazprom allocated RUB 420 million to design and construct the 34-kilometer inter-settlement gas pipeline between an automated gas distribution station in Khanty-Mansiysk and the Lugovskoy settlement.
