OREANDA-NEWS. July 13, 2011. A Russian – Polish bilateral meeting took place in Paris, France as part of the events held by the Competition Committee of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). The Russian delegation was led by Deputy Head of FAS Russia Andrey Tsyganov, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

Cooperation in the field of competition policy between the competition authorities of Russia and Poland takes place on the basis of the Agreement between the governments of both countries of 15th March 1994. Also, every two years the competition authorities of Russia and Poland sign Cooperation Programmes, which give detailed description of the specifics of the work towards implementing and developing bilateral cooperation in order to conduct effective competition policy in Russia and Poland.

At the meeting the parties signed a new Programme for Cooperation between the competition authorities of Russia and Poland for 2011 -2012.

According to Andrey Tsyganov, FAS Russia is interested in productive cooperation with their foreign colleagues, that’s why such bilateral programmes facilitate exchange of experience in the field of antimonopoly regulation.
