Ashgabat to Modernize Transport Infrastructure
OREANDA-NEWS. July 12, 2011. The Vozrojdeniye group of companies is to build a number of highways in the Turkmen capital.
The relevant resolution was signed by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during the talks with Governor of St. Petersburg Valentina Matviyenko, who had arrived in the Turkmen capital leading the high-level delegation.
According to the Resolution, the Ashgabat Khyakimlik will conclude the contract with the Vozrojdeniye Production Association Close Corporation (Russian Federation) for design and construction of the following roads with internal and external supply networks and improvement of the adjacent territories:
the 4,2-km road – the extension of 10 Yyl Abadanchylyk Street on the section between Bitarap Turkmenistan Avenue and Bikrova Road in Ashgabat;
the 9-km road – a section of the ring road between Saparmurat Turkmenbashi Avenue and the Ashgabat-Gyami highway in Ashgabat;
the 7,7-km road – a section from the crossover point of the ring road and Bikrova Road to Andalib Street in Ashgabat.
The construction work is to start in August 2011, and the roads are to be put into operation in August 2013.
