FAS Opens Blog in livejournal.com
OREANDA-NEWS. July 12, 2011. The Federal Antimonopoly Service officially opened its blog - fasovka – on the platform livejournal.com, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.
The blog will highlight FAS ongoing activities and plans. The authors will be officers of the Antimonopoly Service; but the list of authors will be expanded and can include everybody who will wish and can write interesting notes about the issues related to competition, public procurement and regulation of the advertising market.
The “fasovka” account was opened over than a year ago. The blog already hosted a contest of layouts for social advertising - “Free Competition – Healthy Economy”. However, on 28th June fasovka became a fully-fledged blog.
FAS Russia pursues robust policy towards social media: it has its own micro-blog in Twitter and a page on Facebook, where the antimonopoly body discusses its activities and the areas controlled by FAS Russia.
Commenting the event, Stats-Secretary Andrey Tsarikovskiy, Deputy Head of FAS Russia said that the Federal Antimonopoly Service always endeavors to be an open body.
“In the modern world, to achieve effective cooperation between the sate and society it is not enough to observe formal requirements for information disclosure and maintain the official web-site”, emphasized Mr. Tsarikovskiy. “We are prepared to be engaged in a dialogue with citizens wherever it’s convenient for them, so work with social media is becoming a meaningful direction of informational activities pursued by the Antimonopoly Service”.
