Japan Intends to Develop Economic Relations with Kyrgyzstan
OREANDA-NEWS. July 12, 2011. IBC took part in the Second Japan-Kyrgyz Symposium on economic development and investment in Kyrgyzstan. The event aimed to promote trade relations between Japan and Kyrgyzstan, as well as to attract investment in Kyrgyzstan, reported the press-centre of IBC.
Japan Ambassador Sin Maruo said that the symposium will help not just increase the flow of Japanese tourists to the country, but also enhance economic relations between the two countries. Participants discussed potential areas of cooperation including sectors of rare metals, herbs, and drinking water.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Japan Rysbek Moldogaziev, heads of business associations and representatives of the Kyrgyz ministries and agencies. On the Japanese side, the symposium was attended by representatives of major Japanese companies with branches in Kazakhstan, Director of the Kyrgyz Republic - Japan Center for Human Development, Tadao Iguchi, and JICA staff.
