OREANDA-NEWS. July 11, 2011. Chairman of the Council of Eurasian Development Bank (EDB), Deputy Prime-Minister, Finance Minister of the Russian Federation Alexei Kudrin in his letter addressed to the Prime-Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Almazbek Atambaev announced the unanimous decision of the EDB Council to satisfy the request of the Kyrgyz Republic for joining the Bank's articles of association and accept it as a member of EDB with a share of USD100 thousand in the Bank's authorized capital, reported the press-centre of KASE.

It is stressed in the letter, that EDB Council asks the Kyrgyz party to conduct internal procedures necessary for implementing the resolution at the national level.

EDB Council also decided that a prerequisite for consideration of investment projects in the Kyrgyz Republic is concluding an Agreement between the country's government and EDB on terms of the Bank's presence in the republic, as well as the resolution's becoming effective according to the established procedure.

The Bank Council's meeting where the issue of the Kyrgyz Republic's EDB membership was considered took place on June 28, 2011 in Moscow.
