OREANDA-NEWS. July 11, 2011. The First Deputy Chairman of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, Yuriy Kravchenko has held a working meeting with representatives of companies-member of American Chamber of Commerce to discuss current issues in the field of economic competition, which harassing business.

Yuriy Kravchenko reported on measures, which bodies of the Committee exercise to simplify the business environment.

In particular, the Committee has recently launched market research of administrative services to identify those services that fall too great burden on the citizens of Ukraine or create significant barriers to doing business through their inflated value, long term of review and a complicated procedure.

Great interest for experts of American Chamber of Commerce causes the perspectives of review in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine the draft Law "On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine" On protection of economic competition", which foresees an increase threshold when you receive permission for merger in accordance with the equivalent of 1 to 4 and from 12 to 50 million Euros.

The participants have reviewed the most common violation of competition laws, and have acquainted with approaches to determining the penalties applicable to breaches by the Committee.

In addition, considerable attention has been paid to the appeal of public procurement. The First Deputy Chairman of the Committee told about the features of consideration of the complaints in general and cases of unfair use of appeal procedures to disrupt a particular procurement.
