OREANDA-NEWS. July 08, 2011. 4.6 billion UAH has been compensated in automatic mode. The chairman of STS of Ukraine Vitaliy Zakharchenko said this during a meeting with representatives of the European Business Association. According to him, generally over 21 billion UAH has been reimbursed from the beginning of the year.

As a result of processing tax returns for May 2011 (submitted in June) according to available data it is set 139 taxpayers who received automatic right to VAT refund, amounting to 1 billion 753 million UAH. Among them are representatives of almost all regions of Ukraine (26 regions from 27). The list includes mining and metallurgy, machine building, shipbuilding, electrical, light and chemical industry, construction, agriculture and trade, traders and others.

During the meeting, in particular, was discussed the issue of administration of VAT, the introduction of 'horizontal monitoring', simplifying tax reporting, tax audit risk-oriented system, creating new services for taxpayers.
