OREANDA-NEWS. July 08, 2011. Comprehensive testing of 400 MW combined cycle gas turbine unit of Yaivinskaya GRES branch is completed, reported the press-centre of OGK-4.
 
Comprehensive testing of the power unit was a success; it worked for 72 hours with the rated load capacity of 400 MW with electric power output to the Unified National Energy System (UNES) of Russia.
 
The comprehensive testing is the final stage of commissioning works at the new power unit. Following its results the power unit is admitted to be ready for operation.

Prior to comprehensive testing according to the testing program other important measures as to commissioning were taken: blowing down of the HRSG, testing of the water treatment plant, pneumatic test of the steam pipe line, startup of the steam and gas turbines. In April the power unit was successfully connected to the Unified National Energy System which allowed outputting the electric power to the grid.

Construction of the new combined cycle power unit with the capacity of 400 MW at Yaivinskaya GRES is carried out within the framework of the investment project of OGK-4 of RUB 97 bln. Commissioning of 400 MW CCGT Yaivinskaya GRES branch is to take place in Q3 2011.
