OREANDA-NEWS. July 07, 2011. TEO LT, AB, the largest provider of integrated telecommunication, IT and television services in Lithuania, provides Internet and data communication services during the events of the Community of Democracies that are being held in Vilnius. The Women Enhancing Democracy: Best Practices conference, hosted by the Office of the President of the Republic of Lithuania, began on Thursday, and on Friday the Community of Democracies Ministerial Meeting will be held at the Lithuanian Exhibition Centre LITEXPO.

In cooperation with the specialists of the Kaunas University of Technology, possibilities have been provided to watch the live broadcasts of these conferences on the Internet at http://vilnius2011.mfa.lt.

Live broadcast of the Women Enhancing Democracy: Best Practices conference, which is taking place at the Office of the President of the Republic of Lithuania on Thursday, is available to press and mass media representatives at the Lithuanian Exhibition Centre LITEXPO. The live broadcast is available via the fiber-optic line installed by TEO.

In LITEXPO halls, where the Community of Democracies Ministerial Conference will take place on Friday, TEO installed wireless networks and, via fiber-optic Internet access lines, ensured a 300 Mbps duplicated Internet connection.

Last September, TEO services were used by the participants of the Global Internet Governance Forum held in Vilnius, and some time before - by the organizers of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, the NATO Defence Ministers' meeting, and other international events. At present, TEO specialists are installing Internet networks in six Lithuanian basketball arenas, where at the end of August the matches of the European Men's Basketball Championship EuroBasket 2011 will begin.
