Toyota Tsusho Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “Toyota Tsusho”; headquarters: Nagoya City; President: Jun Karube) injected capital into and thereby transformed Targa Co., Ltd., (hereinafter referred to as “Targa”; headquarters: Nisshin City, Aichi Prefecture), a wholesaler of wheels for imported cars, into a subsidiary.

Background and purpose of share acquisition
 Targa is a company engaged primarily in the wholesale of wheels for imported cars, it has strong know-how for planning and development ,through to order receipt and shipment of wheels. They have been highly evaluated by many sales outlets, including imported car dealers nationwide.

Toyota Tsusho considers the enhancement of their aftermarket business for cars as one of the company’s principal policies. Toyotsu Auto Service Co., Ltd., and Yokohama Generator Supply Corporation, companies engaged in selling and servicing automotive components, as well as O-RUSH International Co., Ltd., which is engaged in the purchase and sale of pre-owned imported cars, are also owned by Toyota Tsusho for this reason.

Through this acquisition, Toyota Tsusho enhances the company’s domestic automotive wholesale business and incorporates the know-how of Targa into the company’s pre-owned imported car business and wholesale business for the electrical components of imported cars that had in the past been nurtured on their own, thereby enabling the company to provide even more added value to users of the imported car.

Toyota Tsusho will continue to pursue and provide further added value in the field of imported cars, aiming to develop a new business area as a general supplier that procures, sells and services the components and accessories of imported cars.
