MSCI Increases Uralkali Weighting in Its Indices to 4.8%
OREANDA-NEWS. July 7, 2011. MSCI Inc. has informed that it has reviewed the total number of shares and the free float of Uralkali (LSE: URKA) following the completion of its combination with Silvinit. According to MSCI announcement, the total number of Uralkali’s shares has reached 3.095 billion shares and the free float has increased to 45%, up from 40%. The changes will become effective 7 July 2011.
Thus MSCI has increased Uralkali weighting in MSCI Russia Index from 2.68 to 4.8 which allowed the Company to enter top five in the Index.
