OREANDA-NEWS. July 07, 2011. The Government adopted a series of decisions aimed at simplifying the conditions to receive housing subsidies. This was started by vice Premier of Ukraine - Social Policy Minister Serhiy Tigipko at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

According to the official, from now the assistance from the state on payment of services of communal and housing can get families which were indebted to communal and housing services till 1 December 2006. "This includes about 20 thousand families who until now have been deprived of this right", - Sergei Tigipko informed.

Besides it vice Prime Minister stressed that next year the families which have children or disabled persons, will pay the utility bills up to 10% of total family income. "This arrangement provides for families where income per capita does not exceed the subsistence minimum. To date, nearly 70,000 such families pay for housing and utilities 15% of their income", - noted the official. Families which have pensioners, children and disabled persons the subsidies will be appointed for a longer period of time - "to a change of circumstances" rather than six months as now.

It was simplified a mechanism of subsidies for families in which family members missing for a long time. Also in the appointment of subsidy will not be counted the presence of more than one family car if their “life” over 10 or 15 years (for cars domestically and foreign production respectively).

The Government charged to the central enforcement authorities to settle a question of reception of grants people who live in house, but are not its owners, as well as to define the list and cost of housing-and-municipal services to which compensation the grant to inhabitants of student's hostels is appointed.

"Decisions made today are prepared on the basis of the analysis of a situation on most thorny questions which arose at citizens at purpose of grants", - Sergiy Tigipko emphasized.
