OREANDA-NEWS. July 07, 2011. President Viktor Yanukovych has met with Vice-Prime Minister, Minister for Infrastructure of Ukraine Borys Kolesnikov. As Borys Kolesnikov said after the meeting, among the issues discussed was the state of infrastructure in the country, primarily that of roads.

"The President of Ukraine has always dedicated great attention to the infrastructure of our country. The main problem in this area is roads. It is necessary to urgently find resources for making the roads of really good quality," Borys Kolesnikov said. According to him, a number of measures were defined aimed at achieving concrete results. "The problem is not how to build roads, but how to fund and administer them properly. This question requires serious study," he said.

Speaking about the construction of infrastructure in Ukraine in the framework of preparation for Euro 2012, Borys Kolesnikov said that the Ukrainian side carries out all the commitments it made to the UEFA.

Another question discussed at the meeting was the situation on the air transportation market in Ukraine and possible ways to improve it.
