Gazprom and Microsoft Sign Corporate License Agreement
OREANDA-NEWS. July 05, 2011. The Gazprom headquarters hosted a meeting between Andrey Kruglov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Committee – Head of the Department for Finance and Economics of Gazprom and Donald Charles Grantham, Area Vice President for Central and Eastern Europe of Microsoft International. Based on the meeting results, the parties signed a Corporate License Agreement.
The Agreement stipulates special purchasing terms and conditions for the Microsoft software use rights in the scope that would meet demand of the entire Gazprom Group between 2011 and 2013. The Agreement will considerably optimize the total cost of Microsoft software ownership by the Group.
The parties stated that the signed Agreement confirmed the reliability and constructive approach to the partnership relations and opened up the prospects for deepening cooperation between the companies.
Background
For the purpose of optimizing the total cost of software solutions ownership Gazprom Group is cooperating with largest software providers. For instance, in February 2010 the Corporate License Agreement was signed to purchase the SAP AG software use rights and support services.
