OREANDA-NEWS. July 05, 2011. Ukraine can become a great naval state using its own capacity in shipbuilding. This was stated by the First vice Prime Minister - Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Andriy Klyuyev, in his commentary on the occasion of the Marine Day of Ukraine.

Commenting on the expected investments in the marine industry, Andriy Klyuyev said that prospects for the market of Southeast Asia for Ukrainian goods improved the prospects of development projects of merchant marine of Ukraine.

"I am confident that Ukraine has all chances to be reborn as a great marine state, using the potential of shipbuilding industry" - said the First vice Prime Minister of the Government of Ukraine.

Andriy Klyuyev stressed that the success towards this goal is the combination of industrial and human potential of the maritime industry.

"Revival of shipbuilding - is not just a matter of prestige of the Ukrainian state - is launching a major high-tech industry. These are new jobs and the revival of scientific and educational potential. This will return to Ukraine the status of international marine carrier. Ukrainian upscale professionals should go under Ukrainian flag, and the state should create all conditions for this"- said the First vice Prime Minister.
