OREANDA-NEWS. July 04, 2011. Ms. Rafiga Huseynzade, SOCAR Vice-president on ecology paid a visit to Shaghan area of Buzovna-Mashtagha field of H.Z.Taghiyev OGPD for getting acquainted with implemented ecological works by “SOCAR-Baghlan” CSC. During the meeting, she was briefed that working area given to “SOCAR-Baghlan” CSC was 69 hectare and 38.6 hectare of that area made oil ponds. It is considered to clean-up about 1 million cubic meters oil-polluted lands.

Director General of “SOCAR-Baghlan” CSC Mr. John William Hoc gave information about main principles of the project. According to him, new plant to be constructed here, will contribute to utilization and cleaning-up the oil polluted lands and stratum waters in Buzovna. SOCAR official mentioned the ecological importance of the carried out project and gave recommendations to “SOCAR-Baghlan” management.

Afterwards, SOCAR Vice-president got acquainted with construction works of complex preparation and pumping oil and water in Oil Production shops # 3 and 4 in Buzovna area of H.Z.Taghiyev OGPD. It was noted that construction and installation works are conducted by OilGasConstuction Trust. Ms. Huseynzade gave corresponding commissions in this connection.
