The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) is considering a petition of ABB Australia Pty Limited (Registration Number ACN 003 337 611) (location: Level 11, 68 Pill Street, 2000, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia; main activities: production and sales of equipment for generation, transmission and distribution of electric power; production and sale of industrial control systems; consulting services) on acquiring the rights that enable to determine conditions of entrepreneurial activities of Mincom Pty Limited (Registration Number 2931601, Tax Identification Number: 438 15584 35540, location: 400 Capability Green, Luton, Bedfordshire LUI 3AE, United Kingdom; main activities: consulting services, including services for use of software products) and Mincom Services Pty Limited (Registration Number 2931602, Tax Identification Number: 438 35753 66329, location: 400 Capability Green, Luton, Bedfordshire LUI 3AE, United Kingdom; main activities: selling licenses for software use and providing related services for technical support), as a result of acquiring 100% voting shares of EAM Software Holdings Pty Ltd. (Reference Number 28608 of 27th May 2011; additional materials – Reference Number 33456 of 17th June 2011), reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

Having examined the petition FAS Russia found that the petitioned transaction can result in restricting competition.

Governed by Clause 2 Part 2 Article 33 of the No.135-FZ Federal Law “On Protection of Competition” of 26th July 2006, the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) examined the petition and has extended the period for petition consideration for a month in order to additionally examine the petition.

Interested persons can provide information to the antimonopoly authority as to how the above transaction can affect the state of competition.
