OREANDA-NEWS. July 01, 2011. Sergey Chervyakov, director of Mining equipment division, Uralmashplant, says: "Since basic metal structures have been already assembled at Uralmashplant shops, further assembling is carried out as scheduled. Our specialists are constantly present at the site and perform erection supervision".

At present all load-bearing metal structures (base frame, revolving frame, superstructure) and basic mechanisms (swinging mechanism, hoist and drag reduction gears, walking mechanism) are assembled and ready to go. The unit assembly shall be completed by this September.

ESH 11.75 excavator (with bucket cubic capacity of 11m3 and boom length of 75m) is intended for stripping operations at new quarries of Crasnoselskstroymaterialy JSC.

In recent years, Mining equipment division has worked through a number of new engineering solutions which are introduced into the excavator now. The unit is equipped with numerical control system, automatic centralized lubrication system with Lincoln components. With due consideration of previous operation experience, a number of technical advances has been introduced into such basic mechanisms as hoist and drag winches, swinging and walking mechanisms; the unit superstructure has been modernized and cover of filtration-and-ventilation units has been designed. This shall increase lifetime and output capacity of the unit and at the same time shall cut down maintenance time and expenditures. Plus, following the customer request, the cabin has been redesigned to facilitate crew performance.
