RBD and UUIE Conducted Round Table
OREANDA-NEWS. July 01, 2011. The Russian Bank for Development acted as a co-organizer of the round table “SME Support Programs in Russia and Ukraine: the Current Status and Prospects” that was held in Kiev, reported the press-centre of RBD.
The event was initiated by the Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (UUIE). The forum was attended by Dmitry Golovanov, Member of the Board – First Deputy Chairman of the Board of RBD; Sergey Prokhorov, First Vice-President of UUIE, representatives from UUIE, RBD, Prominvestbank, the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Finances of Ukraine and NGOs.
Mr.Golovanov said that small and medium-sized enterprises both in Ukraine and Russia require improvements in the regulatory framework, development financing and governmental support. The state should create comfortable business environment. In particular, innovative SMEs require transparent taxation system and possibility to place production facilities in the relevant environment. Nowadays coordinated efforts of all concerned parties shall be targeted to SME support.
The attendees drew up a resolution on implementation of the best Russian practices of the state SME support in Ukraine involving information exchange, consultancy and fruitful cooperation in this area.
