OREANDA-NEWS. June 30, 2011. Agricultural Bank of China Limited ("ABC") was awarded the "Best Foreign Exchange Service Bank" in the selection of "Financial Service Providers Mostly Trusted by China's Foreign Trade Enterprises in 2010" jointly organized by the Trade Finance Magazine and China's Trade Finance Website, reported the press-centre of ABC.

In recent years, ABC has achieved remarkable growth of foreign exchange business, and promoting the cross-border operation of domestic enterprises, by making efforts to optimize business process, enhance product innovation and intensify brand cultivation. In 2010, ABC's domestic branches granted international trade financing of USD56,307 million, a year-on-year increase of 108.1%, completed international settlement of USD467,915 million, up 34.03%, and recorded foreign L/G (letter of guarantee) business of USD6,176 million, up 177.1%.

The selection was launched concurrently in Beijing, Guangzhou and Nanning in October 2010, with a view to selecting the winner of each award based on the professional questionnaires issued to the 300,000 import and export enterprises. ABC was the sole financial institution winning the award above.
