New Managers Appointed in VTB Corporate Business
OREANDA-NEWS. June 30, 2011. New managers have been appointed to a number of key positions in VTB Corporate Business, reported the press-centre of VTB.
Gurinder Nihal is now VTB Senior Vice President and head of Corporate Products Department. He will also be in charge of VTB transaction banking development. Mr.Nihal’s department is engaged in monitoring the banking services market, analyzing potential customers’ needs, developing product managers’ functions, and enhancing VTB product line.
Chaba Zentai has been appointed VTB Senior Vice President and head of the 3rd Corporate Department, which is in charge of supervising VTB branches, and Moscow and Moscow Region sub-offices, as well as coordinating medium-sized business relations.
Yuri Soloviev, First Deputy President and Chairman of the Management Board, said: “The main strategic goal of VTB is to strengthen every business segment. That is why it is extremely important to build a strong transaction bank and increase its share in priority cash and settlement, as well as fee and commission products of the Group”.

Chaba Laslovitch Zentai was born on 14 August 1970. In 1997 Mr.Zentai graduated from GE Capital University (USA), in 2000 received a diploma in research management of Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College (Great Britain) and in 2005 was awarded MBA degree at the same college. Mr.Zentai started his career as customer manager at Budapest Bank. Subsequently, he became a participant of GE Capital University program which enabled him to establish a leasing branch of GE Capital in Hungary. Due to such success, Mr.Zentai was elected Deputy Chairman of the Hungarian Leasing Association.
From 1998 to 2000 he worked for ABN AMRO as Chairman of the Management Board at ABN AMRO Equipment Leasing (Hungary) and Member of Board of Directors of ABN AMRO Pension Fund (Hungary) successively. In 2000 he joined Citibank (Hungary) where he successively worked as director, member of managing committee of corporate bank, head of commercial bank and member of parent bank top management. From 2007 Mr.Zentai worked for OJSC Alfa Bank, first as head of small and medium-sized business segment, then as head of medium-sized and regional corporate business segment.
Gurinder Singh Nihal was born on 8 February 1968. In 1989 he graduated from Delhi Public School (India) and received MBA degree at Boston University in 1991. Mr.Nihal started his banking career in 1992 working as manager at different Citibank branches. In 1999 he was appointed Vice President of Citibank. From 1998 to 2009 he worked at New-York branch of Citibank. In 2001 Mr.Nihal was appointed director of Citibank Private Banking Group. From 2003 to 2006 he acted as partner of Krishna transportation company (New Delhi) held by his family. For the last four years, he worked at Royal Bank of Scotland Moscow (former ABN AMRO) as head of Global Transaction Services.
