Azerbaijan to Pass 20 more International Standards on Electrotechnics
OREANDA-NEWS. June 29, 2011. The State Committee on Standardization, Metrology & Patents of Azerbaijan has become a partner of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).
The SCSMPA reports that after it became an Organization’s partner the Committee got a possibility of free use of IEC electronic database and introduction of up to 200 international standards in this area. The Committee’s experts also received the right to participate in work of technical committees and the General Assembly.
The IEC is an international nonprofit organization on standardization in the field of electrical, electronic and related technologies. IEC is composed of representatives of national services of standardization. IEC was founded in 1906, and currently its member ranks include more than 76 countries.
