OREANDA-NEWS. June 29, 2011. NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com) announced that its globally based private cloud platform Biz Hosting Enterprise (BHE) will soon offer the option of easy, secure access to Microsoft Office 365, a new SaaS-based cloud groupware. Applications are being accepted as of today, concurrent with Microsoft Corporation’s launch of Office 365.

The new offering, BHE Office 365 Hybrid Option, will provide users with a convenient single sign-on for both their regular PC and Office 365, plus a secure authentication function for access to office data from anywhere else.

Users will be able to select individual or suites of Office 365 service, such as Exchange Online for advanced e-mail, calendaring, contact and task management, SharePoint Online web-based tools and technologies for storing, sharing and managing digital information, Lync Online cloud communications service for presence, instant messaging and online meetings, and Office Professional Plus for use of Microsoft Office applications on monthly-charge basis.

Backed by NTT Com’s extensive experience, secure single sign-ons are possible via the Active Directory Federation Service to collaborate and synchronize the customer’s own Active Directory for authentication platforms and Office 365’s cloud-based Active Directory offered on the public Internet. BHE customers benefit from one-stop management ranging from billing to 24/7 incident recovery, enabling full outsourcing of business operations including email management.

BHE offers optional services, including ADFS Proxy to protect against impersonations by enabling people to always use the same ID and password for Office 365 access from any location or any device, and Active Directory Replication, which reliably and accurately replicates content in the customer’s database for business continuity when accessing Office 365 via the Internet, even if their Active Directory fails.

Tailored support is also available for Office 365 implementation, data migration and customer system management.
