OREANDA-NEWS. June 28, 2011. Potash fertilizer production of OJSC Belaruskali rose 15.2% on the year in January-May to 3.416 million tonnes, a representative in the administration of the company told reporters.

The increase is attributed to market revival after the global recession, hence stronger demand and higher prices.

Exports reached 6.8 million tonnes of fertilizers, up 130% on the year in 2010. Supplies to the domestic market reached 1.4 million tonnes.

The state controls 100% of shares in Belaruskali.
