Belarusian PM Sees no Need to Revise Development Program 2011-15
OREANDA-NEWS. June 28, 2011. Belarusian Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich sees no reason for a revision of the ambitious socioeconomic development program for 2011-2015, despite the tough situation on the currency market and consumer markets.
“There is a question: is the current program applicable now, amid difficulties on the currency and consumer markets? I guess there are no reasons to revise the program. The difficulties we have are temporary and will certainly be overcome, as there are all reasons for this,” Myasnikovich said during an expert council meeting in the government on Friday.
In April, President Alexander Lukashenko adopted the economic expansion plan for 2011-2015, envisaging a GDP growth of 62%-68%, industrial output increase of 54%-60%, farm production increase of 39%-45%, and capital investment growth of 90%-97%.
