OREANDA-NEWS. June 28, 2011. The forum Inside World Football was held in the Ritz Carlton hotel in Moscow on 24 June. On the agenda were the preparations for the FIFA World Cup in 2018, which will be held in Russia.

Russian Railways Senior Vice President Valentin Gapanovich gave a report and made a presentation on the Company’s Concept for the Modernisation and Development of Rail Infrastructure for Passenger Services during the championship, which envisages the construction of dedicated high-speed highways.

Also taking part in the Forum was FIFA secretary general Jerome Valcke, the head of the Russia 2018 organising committee Alexei Sorokin and the chairman of the State Duma Committee on Transport Sergei Shishkaryov.

In addition, delegates discussed the key strategic directions in preparing for the 2018 World Cup which are linked with these problems.
