OREANDA-NEWS. June 27, 2011. On June 16, 2011 at the 11th International Exhibition "Mechanical Engineering.Metalworking. Kazan ", a constituent assembly to establish a regional branch of the All-Russian public organization" Russian Nanotechnology Society "(RNS) took place in the Republic of Tatarstan.

50 members of the RNS and more than 30 organizations participated in the meeting. During the discussion of the establishment of the organization, they came to decision to elect the executive secretary of the regional branch of the RNS in the Republic of Tatarstan, Lev Leonidovich Semenov - General Director of “Kazanskaya Yarmarka OJSC ".

Today individual members and regional representatives of the Russian Nanotechnology Society located in 70 federal subjects in all federal districts of Russia. There are foreign members of the Russian Nanotechnology Society of 7 countries.

All-Russian public organization "Russian Nanotechnology Society" (RNS) was established in 2008 with the support of the Investment Fund "ONEXIM Group" and the state corporation "ROSNANOTECH."

The main goal of RNS is the development of creative activity of its members to meet their academic, professional interests and informational provision, as well as effective use of intellectual and industrial co-operation of forces, individuals and organizations to develop nanotechnology in Russia, assistance in implementing the scientific development of commercially effective industrial projects.

RNS aims to promote greater international communication and cooperation, and interaction with specialists for the general public to deal with issues of nanotechnology.

The next meeting of the regional branch of Nanotechnology Society in Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan takes place in December 2, 2011 in the 12 th International Scientific-Practical Conference "Nanotechnology in the industry."
