RInfra 4th Road Project Goes Operational
OREANDA-NEWS. June 27, 2011. Reliance Infrastructure Limited (RInfra) commences operations on its 4th road project connecting Bengaluru and Chennai, part of Golden Quadrilateral. The toll collections and widening operations from 4 to 6 lanes, started from Tuesday June 8, 2011.
The project road is a section of the
Traffic Volume Count (TVC) at proposed toll plaza locations suggests average annual daily traffic (AADT) of around 52,000 PCU's. The new 6 lanes corridor will be able to manage increased capacity of 72,000 vehicles, once widening is complete .The expansion of the road from 4 to 6 lanes, once completed will additionally ease the current traffic conditions, reduce traveling time and increase driving comfort with 24X7 facilities.
R-Infra will use state-of-the-art Advanced Toll Management Services (ATMS) at the toll plazas to automate tolling and streamline the toll collection. Highway Toll Management System (HTMS) used on the project site will provide CCTVs, speed detectors and other services to monitor traffic flow on the road.
RInfra will introduce Medical, First Aid, Vehicle Rescue Post and Patrolling services at the toll plazas. Road furniture including road signs, pavement markings, crash barriers, delineators that will enhance safety for the users will also be included.
