OREANDA-NEWS. June 27, 2011. These data are provided by the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry. Particularly, noting that electricity supplies to Moldova for 5 months of the last year had totaled 3.2 million kWh. Moldova’s share in the total Ukrainian electric power export volume increased from 0.2% to 7%.

Commercial supplies of Ukrainian electric power to Moldova were started in April this year by the Power-Trade company, member of the largest Ukrainian private energy company DTEK.

It will be supplying 75-100 million kWh of electric power to Moldova a month. In 2010, Ukraine supplied about 24.8 million kWh of electric power to Moldova, 3.6 times more than in 2009. Ukrainian electric power’s cost amounts to 6.1 cents for a kWh, corresponding to the sale price of the Moldovan Hydroelectric Power Station.
