OREANDA-NEWS. June 24, 2011. As of June 1, 2011, the subscriber base of "Domashniy Telecom" (retail trademark of Datagroup telecom provider) includes 210,000 digital telephony subscribers and 100,000 broadband access subscribers. The latter figure has increased by 25 per cent as compared to the 1st quarter of this year.

It should be noted that in summer 2010 Datagroup gained investment in amount of USD 40 Mio from Horizon Capital fund, which allowed the company to actively invest into its business development.

"Almost one year ago, as we announced attraction of investments and presented „Domashniy Telecom“ to the retail service market, we had 40, 000 broadband access subscribers. The growth of subscriber base by 2.5 times lets me confidently say that we have chosen the right development strategy in retail sector. Today, Datagroup is one of the most rapidly developing companies in the sector of retail broadband access", Mr. Alexandr Danchenko, Datagroup CEO, stated.

In the first quarter of this year, the geography of "Domashniy Telecom" TM presence was broadened. Today, Internet access and telephony services are provided in 25 regions of Ukraine; within the previous 2 months the following cities have been connected: Nezhyn, Zhmerinka, Netishyn, Donetsk, Vyshgorod, Ordzhonikidze, Shepetovka, Bar, Slavutich, and Vladimir-Volynsky. Now, the total length of the DWDM network is 12,500 km. The length of intracity networks is 4,350 km.

Broadband Internet from "Domashniy Telecom" is available for connection to more than 670,000 flats and private residences.

In addition to subscribers of Internet access and telephony services, the next month "Domashniy Telecom" will start to actively sell TV services in such cities as Vinnitsa, Lutsk, Khmelnitsky, Kremenchug, and Dnepropetrovsk. At the moment, the service is being tested by technicians and the company’s selected subscriber pool. In general, Datagroup has licenses for TV broadcasting in the following cities: Lutsk, Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kiev, Krivoy Rog, Kremenchug, Vinnitsa, Nikopol, Vyshgorod, Gadyach, Khmelnitsky, and Nikolayev.
