OREANDA-NEWS. June 24, 2011. The specialists of JSC “Airport Tolmachevo” and LLC “International airport Novosibirsk” (cargo operator for airport Novosibirsk) had a meeting with the representatives of Novosibirsk logistic companies, specializing in freight air carriages.

The meeting was held in the form of “round table”. More than 20 leading logistic companies of the region took part in it; among them are “UPS”, “SPSR”, “DHL”, “DPD”, “CDEK”, “First Expedition Company” and other forwarding companies.

Parties discussed the development program of transit freight via airport Tolmachevo, the ways of increasing the rendered services quality during the terminal cargo handling, the conditions for the freight aircraft to operate scheduled flights to domestic and international destinations.

The result of this meeting has become an offer to correct the technology of terminal cargo handling with the purpose to reduce the time since the moment of express-dispatch unloading from the aircraft till its delivery to the consignee. A range of decisions was taken to put some changes in the working technology of the cargo terminal with the purpose to correspond the requirements of forwarding companies and to implement measures, anticipated by the program of freight carriages development at the airport Tolmachevo. It was noticed the necessity to develop data exchange for creating an effective system of cargo tracing in real time.

LLC “International airport Novosibirsk” provides the commercial services for apron operations concerning cargo handling and the operator of the cargo terminal at the airport Tolmachevo. The Company was established in 2005 as an investment company for creating infrastructure projects of the airport in the frame of achieving General plan of airport Tolmachevo development.
