OREANDA-NEWS. June 24, 2011. An official ceremony to open a Representative Office of State Corporation ‘Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)’was held in Rostov-on-Don.

A decision to open a Representative Office was made by Vnesheconombank’s Supervisory Board in order to ensure the Banks efficient participation in the largest investment projects and programs in the regions of the Southern Federal District.

The Representative Office has already got down to work to represent Vnesheconombank’s interest in the Southern Federal District: it is involved in searching for and selecting advanced investment projects aimed at developing infrastructure, innovations, environment protection as well as in supporting the export of Russian products, works and services and implementing comprehensive investment plans for the development of mono-cities.

Opening the ceremony Vnesheconombank Deputy Chairman Irina Makieva expressed the hope that the Representative Office’s successful activity would contribute to implementing efficiently investment projects and would give added impetus for economic growth of the Southern Federal District’s regions.

At present, Vnesheconombank’s representative offices on the Russian territory operate in Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Pyatigorsk, Saint-Petersburg and Khabarovsk.
