NEC Unveils Voice Recognition and Auto-Transcription Solution
OREANDA-NEWS. June 23, 2011. NEC Corporation (NEC; TSE: 6701) announced today the preview of its new voice recognition and auto-transcription solution at its inaugural participation in eGov Global Exchange 2011 in Singapore. This is the first time the technology is presented outside of Japan.
This solution recognizes speech and transcribes conversations into digital transcripts. The technology enables users to receive almost instantaneous transcriptions in a variety of languages(*1) , eliminating the need to take minutes manually, hence dramatically improving the turnaround time, performance and operational efficiency of minute taking. The solution recognizes conversations, which are captured and recorded in the Voice Recognition Servers for Multi-Channel Recognition, where the conversations are transcribed into digitally formatted scripts.
Benefits of this voice recognition solution:
Simultaneous speech recognition for multiple speakers by Multi-Microphone Input
The multi-channel Voice Activity Detection (VAD) technology detects "who spoke when" in real time, even when two or more speakers speak simultaneously, reducing the time and cost of taking minutes.
Quick Multimedia File Search
The solution files synchronized data for video, voice, and text. Users can rewind, fast-forward, and search the data by keyword, speaker, date, etc.
Stable & Secure Speech Recording
The solution acquires voice data by using small, easy-to-use wireless microphones based on Bluetooth® technology then transmits high-definition speech data with low recording loss and high security.
