Slovenia-Azerbaijan Business Forum Held in Slovenia
OREANDA-NEWS. June 22, 2011. Slovenian-Azerbaijan business forum held in Ljubljana in June 10. Besides state officials up to 200 businessmen from both countries, working in such fields as agriculture, food industry, construction, information and communication technologies, energy, industry participated in the forum.
In the frame of event, the memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Public Agency for Entrepreneurship and Foreign Investments of the Republic of Slovenia (JAPTI) and Azerbaijan Export & Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO).
During business forum, the president of AZPROMO Adil Mammadov presented country's business and investment potential, Executive director of Azerbaijan Investment Company (AIC) Afghan Isayev presented the activities of AIC and areas of probable interests of Slovenian investors.
The director of JAPTI Mr Igor Plestenjak and general director of Slovenian Commerce Chamber made a speech from in the event.
Bilateral meetings between business people were organized and prospective of expanding the co-operation was discussed in the framework of the business forum.
During the visit, the delegation also visited Novo Goritsa in Slovenia, and memorial of the Soviet Union Hero Mehdi Huseynzadeh.
