OREANDA-NEWS. June 22, 2011. JSC VTB Bank has acquired 2,790 shares of CJSC MICEX placed as an additional issue, by 7.53% of CJSC MICEX Stock Exchange shares as payment.

As a result, JSC VTB Bank now owns 7.08% of the MICEX outstanding shares.

Citing Yuri Soloviev, First Deputy President and Chairman of VTB Bank Management Board, “the Bank will derive special benefit from the deal due to the upcoming integration of MICEX Group and RTS, another largest Russian trading system, and MICEX’ increasing role in implementing the global financial center project in Russia.”
