OREANDA-NEWS. June 21, 2011. Commercial Port of Vladivostok has welcomed the arrival of m/v Amundsen with a capacity of 1,740 TEU operating on MCC Transport's Intra Asia 8 service. It was the first vessel that called at Commercial Port of Vladivostok after the service has added it to the rotation covering the SEA ports of Tanjung Pelepas - Singapore - Jakarta - Surabaya - Davao - Shanghai - Busan - Xiamen - Yantian - Hong Kong.

The IA-8 service runs on a 35-day round trip rotation. There are deployed 5 containerships with a capacity comparable with m/v Amundsen. The service will operate to Commercial Port of Vladivostok (Berths 14-15) on weekly basis.

"The service Intra Asia 8 marks that Commercial Port of Vladivostok is moving ahead in further enhancing container handling business", said Dmitry Domrachev, Chief Commercial Officer. Furthermore, the port will be able to offer its importers and exporters simplified logistics chain and minimize the time period of containerized cargo delivery within SEA countries.
