OREANDA-NEWS. June 21, 2011. As of today in Ukraine it is gathered nearby 35 thousand tons of grain. The Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine informed this at press conference Mykola Prysyazhnyuk. By assessments of the Minister, dry and hot weather has affected on a condition of grain.

"As of today southern regions have already begun harvesting, have started to mow round grain. On our statistics, we first 35 thousand tons have threshed", - he told.

About influence of weather conditions on productivity of grain the Minister has noted, that climatic conditions which were in the beginning of this week, caused the certain alarm, "but then started rains and a situation was balanced in a positive side".

"In this year productivity of barley and a soya will be less. But as a whole, recent rains have given an essential positive for a new crop", - he specified.

At the same time, in opinion of the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food the situation with hardware in agriculture remains crisis. According to Mykola Prysyazhnyuk, on 1 combine we have to load twice as many, than in Russia and Belarus. The Minister also noted that it is planned to re-equip agricultural machinery for 3-4 years.
