OREANDA-NEWS. June 21, 2011. The exercise of options on the Ibovespa Index (Ibovespa) generated BRL 4.25 billion on Wednesday (June 15), with 64,650 contracts traded. Of the financial volume in exercised contracts, BRL 4.24 billion was in put options and BRL 12 million in call options.

The Ibovespa index ended the session 0.97% lower at 61,603 points.

The contracts with the largest volumes were:

The series at 66,000 points totaled BRL 1.11 billion in put options;

The series at 62,000 points totaled BRL 667.1 million in put options;

The series at 68,000 points totaled BRL 596.3 million in put options;

The series at 70,000 points totaled BRL 490 million in put options;

The series at 64,000 points totaled BRL 471 million in put options.
