Today Kazakhtelecom and Microsoft signed the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation. The goal is to combine the experience of leading Kazakhstan telecommunications provider with the world leader software innovation technologies.

During implementation of agreements the Memorandum stipulates comprehensive  measures that will provide Kazakhstan people an access to Microsoft software.  At the first phase of cooperation, Kazakhtelecom plans to launch such IT  decisions as Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Exchange. "These technologies  implementation will allow users a convenient business instrument, organization  of documents turnover of the company and creation of corporate portals", - said  Chief IT Director of Kazakhtelecom Marat Adilbekov.

Entry of these products to the "cloud" gives advantages: a consumer will not have to solve issues related to procurement of a server, installation, tuning  and administration of separate server. It will be enough just to order a service  with given parameters and start using it. The system will define needed resources  for its functioning and Kazakhtelecom will administrate and maintain the system.

This step towards the merger of traditional telecommunication services  and innovative information technologies is an example of implementation  in Kazakhstan of global trends. Microsoft and Kazakhtelecom have a unique      combination of experience in the area of implementation and development of   innovative technologies, future vision of telecommunications and information  technologies, and understanding of significance of similar projects for        development of innovative economy of Kazakhstan", - said Director general  of Microsoft Kazakhstan Gunter Dam.

The necessary part of this project implementation is the infrastructure of Microsoft that serves as the basis to build up IT services according to best practices. This will allow Kazakhstan IT companies to create their own products to provide on the local market. Thus, this project will facilitate both development of Kazakhstan IT industry and extension of its perspectives.
