OREANDA-NEWS. June 21, 2011. At the beginning of June 2011 Razgulay Group has finished its sowing campaign. This year the Group allocated the crop of about 340 thousand hectares of arable land: 100 hectares for sowing of winter and spring wheat, more than 47 hectares for sugar beet, more than 16 hectares for rice. Oilseeds occupied more than 80 thousand hectares, including soybeans - 25 thousand hectares, sunflower - 21 thousand hectares, flax - more than 23 thousand hectares. In addition, in the fields of agricultural holdings’ farms was seeded barley, corn, millet, oats, and various kinds of annual and perennial grasses.

In all Groups’ regions the beginning of spring sowing was delayed by an average of two weeks, as a result of adverse weather conditions, so that the soil was not ready for sowing. Almost all districts have been excessive moisture due to double rainfall against the background of low temperatures.

"In these circumstances, the delay of the start of sowing will not affect the results negatively, since the seeds lie in a fairly moist and mellow soil, - says Alexey Demyanenko, Director of Agro Directorate of Razgulay Group. - In addition, late sowing minimize the risk of return of cold weather, dangerous to the beets, and an intense warming of the soil will contribute to more rapid emergence of seedlings, which should compensate for the lag. Maybe in fall we’ll need only a small adjustment of the harvesting schedule and logistics of our products. "

During the sowing campaign Razgulay Group used new agricultural machinery and spare parts from such famous brands as "John Deere" (U.S.), "New Holland" (U.S.), "Lemken" (Germany), "Amazone" (Germany), "Gaspardo"(Italy) and others. Traditionally, the most known distributors of crops’ seeds such as LLC "Rusagroprodukt", LLC "Niva Chernozemya", JSC "Krasnoyaruzhskaya Zernovaya Companya" and LLC "RosAgroTreyd" became Razgulay Group’s suppliers. Sugar beet seeds were purchased from leading foreign manufacturers: "Betaseed Inc. " (U.S.), "KWS" (Germany), "SESVanderHave" (Belgium), "Florimond" (France), "Strube" (Germany).
