OREANDA-NEWS. June 20, 2011. In particular, among construction and mounting organizations taking part in the new nuclear plant erection a competition on labor safety and production culture will be held.

It was announced at the June meeting of Novovoronezh NPP-2 construction control headquarters.

According to Novovoronezh affiliated company of Atomenergoproekt OJSC — Directorate on Novovoronezh NPP-2 Construction Chief Engineer Alexander Balkashin, “industrial, technical, fire and ecological safety at the NPP under construction meets all the necessary requirements”. Among all that, “a competition factor will lead to improvements in the labor safety and production culture”, which is not insignificant, because any construction facilities are related to accidental, he noted. According to the provision, developed by the engineering company specialists, not only moral motivation of the best groups, but also their bonus payment is planned. Now the prepared document has been passed for the approval of the Directorate of Novovoronezh NPP-2 Under Construction (affiliated company of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC) and to the heads of contracting organizations.

At present 14 contracting and 59 subcontracting organizations, which are constructing 105 facilities, are involved in the plant construction. Atomenergoproekt concludes agreements with the contractors only in case of their having developed and introduced documents on labor safety.

Prevention and control events are held at NV NPP-2 construction site on a regular basis. In particular, since the middle of May there were held four “Days of Labor Safety” and four headquarters on labor safety, the main purpose of which was prevention of accidents during performance of constriction and mounting work.

Besides, in the course of the month the personnel of NF-DC technical inspection department organized 20 purposive scheduled inspections of the contracting organizations for meeting of industrial, technical, fire and ecological safety requirements.
